About IFSC Validator
IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is an 11-character alphanumeric code that identifies every bank branch in India for electronic fund transfers. An incorrect IFSC can result in a failed or misdirected transfer. This tool validates the IFSC format and decodes the bank and branch information.
How to use
- 1
Enter the 11-character IFSC code (e.g. SBIN0001234).
- 2
The tool validates the format: 4-letter bank code + 0 + 6-digit branch code.
- 3
Bank name is decoded from the first 4 characters using the RBI's bank code registry.
- 4
For common banks, branch city and state are also displayed.
